Bolognese Elbows


Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Roma Pasta Elbows
- 300g of ground beef
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 onion, diced
- 100ml white wine
- 200g of tomato paste
- ¼ cup of milk
- Oregano to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of parmesan
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnishing
Preparation:
- Cook the pasta following the instructions on the package. Drain and set aside.
- In a big pot, pour the olive oil at medium heat and cook the onion and carrot with a pinch of salt. Cook until browned.
- Add the beef, pepper, oregano, and some more salt.
- When the beef is cooked, turn up the heat, add the wine, and stir. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and add in the tomato paste and the milk. Add the water if needed. Cook for 20 minutes stirring regularly.
- You can add the pasta to the sauce or serve the pasta and pour the sauce on top. And sprinkle some parmesan and basil on top.
