Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Roma Bowties #3
- 2 cans of Sardines
- 1 cup of tomato paste
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon of basil
- 1⁄2 cup of grated parmesan
- 1⁄2 cup of chopped scallions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Cook the pasta as instructed on the package. Drain and set aside.
- Pour the olive oil into a pan, melt the butter, and then stir-fry the onion, garlic, and tomatoes. Cook until slightly browned.
- Shred the sardines, add them to the pan, and cook for another minute while stirring.
- Add the tomato paste, season with salt, pepper, and basil, and cook for 3 more minutes.
- Mix the pasta, sardine sauce, scallions, and parmesan.
